Keller is 1 week old today! Time is already moving too fast.
It feels like this sweet little boy has always been a part of our family. He is a great eater and loves his cuddle time.
Big brother is still loving his baby. We haven't quite nailed down the "gentle" concept, but he'll learn soon enough.

Keller Ryan McCormick
On December 4th, 2012 at 12:47 pm, our family of 3 became a family of 4. Keller Ryan McCormick made a quick entrance into the world and Ryan and I fell in love all over again with another precious little boy. Well...as little as a 9 lb 11 oz, 22 inch long baby can be;)
Here are a few pictures of our handsome baby boy...

Keller was a champ during his first photo shoot with Bella Baby Photography.
It's time to go home! During my 32 week ultrasound, I had Keller's gender written down in a card that was sent immediately to my mom. She kept it a secret from us and Keller had a box of goodies waiting for him when he was born!
Hayes loves his new brother and is always giving him sweet kisses.

The Liebster Award...Part 2
So I got a little behind on completing this series. Hello, pregnancy brain!
Part 2 involves answering 11 questions created by the person who nominated me....Lindsey! Here goes!
1. What made you start blogging?
So during Christmas of 2009, Ryan and I watched Julie and Julia...the movie about the food blogger who cooks her way through Julia Child's cookbook. I had also recently discovered The Pioneer Woman and was so inspired by her blogging. So...I made it my New Year's resolution to start a blog. I think when I first started, my plans for it were very different. It has become more of a family and let me go on and on about my adorable child blog. We live far away from our family and most of our friends, so blogging has been a great way to keep everyone informed of our life adventures.
2. If you could have one re-do in life, what would it be?
This is a hard one, because I can't think of anything! Of course I've made stupid mistakes in life. We all have. But, those mistakes made me the person I am today...so I don't know that I would change anything. I suppose if I just HAD to pick something, I would like to re-do 10th grade English so I could get an A that ONE semester and have a 4.0 GPA in high school...instead of a 3.896. Nerd? Me? Nope.
3. What is your inspiration for your blog?
The Pioneer Woman...love her! Love her recipes and her style of writing. I love reading a blog and feeling like I'm having a conversation with the person. And my adorable child inspires me often:)
4. Tell us your most embarrassing moment.
So of course this happened in college...at a party...as the best embarrassing moments do. I was at an exchange with my friends. (For those non-greeks, an exchange is a party between a sorority and fraternity that gives everyone a chance to get to know each other. And, it's a great excuse for a fun themed party.) So I'm at this exchange and my girls and I are dancing fools, as usual. Some rap song was playing that made references to "droppin it." There are so many of those, so I don't really remember which one it was. So, of course we are all dropping it. Because dancing to those songs was our "workout." So, I drop it. And my pants ripped. Straight down the middle. What did I do? Went home to change pants and came right back to dance more, of course!! Nothing keeps a dancer down;)
5. Who is that "makes you laugh until you pee your pants" person in your life?
Without a doubt, my little sister would be that person. She just seems to have a way with words that leaves me laughing so hard, I'm usually crying a little. If you are lucky enough to know Kristin, you know what I mean...
6. Is there someone you've lost touch with that you wish you hadn't?
There have definitely been friends who I've lost touch with over the years. I don't know that I could pick just one that I regret losing touch with. I do feel that God puts certain people in our lives at just the right time. I also have an incredible group of friends I still keep in touch with. Even though most of them live far away, we keep in touch through phone calls, texts, emails, facebook, and blogging. I am so grateful for the friendships I've been able to maintain through the years.
7. Do you have a significant other? If so, tell us how you met.
I met my super cute hubby a few months after I moved to Ohio. Everyone thought I was crazy for moving up here. I chose a place 14 hours away from friends and family and knew on one in Ohio. Crazy? Maybe a little. But as it turns out, God knew what he was doing when I made the decision to move. A few months after I moved to Ohio, I met Ryan. I was hanging out with my friends, Ashlea, Nicole, and Amy. Ashlea's then boyfriend, now husband, Matt came over with a few of his friends. Ryan was one of those friends...and the rest is history! We felt a connection immediately and became inseparable right away. Ryan proposed after 6 months of dating and we were married 9 months later. We laugh when we think about how much has happened in the past 4 years since we met. Marriage, one baby, another one hopefully here any day...thank goodness for Matt and Ashlea accidentally introducing us!
8. Are you a cat or dog person?
Um...neither? I prefer dogs over cats...but I also prefer all animals to be outside. I have animal allergies and so does Ryan...so chances are our kids will also have them. But at this point in my life, I'll take babies over animals. That being said, I do love Charlie...my nephew dog? I've actually never referred to him as that, but he is an awesome dog who never makes me sneeze. And Hayes adores him. He might love Charlie more than other family members.
9. Name 3 things you love about yourself.
1. My sense of humor.
2. My cooking abilities/menu planning.
3. My craftiness...when it decides to make an appearance.
10. If your house caught on fire, what items would you try to save?
Well after my family, I would probably grab the laptop. It's full of pictures and videos that are so precious to me.
11. What's your favorite pastime?
I am a huge book nerd. I love love love to get lost in a good book!
Part 3 will be out soon! I will announce my 11 nominees and the 11 questions for them to answer!
